Clyde (Don’t Call Me Clyde)
Clyde is a 30-year-old (4/14/1996) standardbred horse that was rescued. He is our oldest standardbred at the sanctuary. He stands 16 1/2 hands high. Clyde has come a long way and has learned to trust and love again.
Clyde’s mom was Treat Me Royal, and his dad was Look Sharpe.

Warrior
Warrior, a quarter-horse gelding, is a retired party animal who was an owner surrender due to their health issues. Now he’s living the high life at Willow Woods, where he struts around like he owns the place. Warrior has formed an unbreakable bond with I’m A Cat’s Meow. Sorry, folks, he’s traded the dating scene for a lifetime of luxury at the sanctuary, where carrots and naps are the only things on his schedule.

Steele
Steele is a 3-year-old paint (mustang) who galloped his way into the sanctuary after a dramatic rescue from a Texas slaughter pipeline—talk about a wild ride! After two months of eating hay to recover and beefing up to his ideal weight, he’s now strutting around like the young stallion he is. This guy is not just smart; he’s practically a horse Einstein! With a curiosity that could rival a cat’s and a love for muffins that would make even the toughest food critic swoon, he’s always on the lookout for his next snack. Just a heads up, though: adoption is closed for this muffin-loving legend!

Brother Bob
Brother Bob is a 23-year-old (4/28/2002) standardbred horse, but don’t let his age fool you; he’s the coolest old dude in the barn! This guy is a quirky one—imagine a standardbred horse that also has the paint gene! His mom, the fabulous SR Anthonita, and his dad, the legendary Armbro Rotary, clearly produced a masterpiece. With a soul as gentle as Marmaduke’s (though he’s way better at not eating furniture), Brother Bob spends his days striking poses and gazing at his surroundings like he’s modeling for a spread in Horse Vogue. He adores attention and gets a real kick out of being groomed, but don’t even think about adopting him; he’s far too busy being the resident celebrity!

Louie (Luau Louie)
Louie is the sanctuary’s pint-sized party animal, born on 5/15/2014, and you can bet he’s got more energy than a toddler on a sugar rush! This playful little rascal has a talent for getting into trouble by teasing the older horses—who says age brings wisdom? Treats are his absolute jam, and don’t get him started on German Muffins; he practically swoons! Standing proud at 16 1/2 hands high, he’s a compact bundle of mischief. Oh, and just so you know, he’s strictly a pasture pet. His mother was the fabulous, Lovely Loretta, and his dad was none other than the cool cat himself, Hawaiian Cowboy.

Cherokee
Cherokee is a 16-year-old paint (Mustang) who thinks he’s the king of our Hayes facility in Virginia—complete with royal breakfast demands every morning! This lovable fluffball is sweeter than a candy store, and he can’t get enough of his adoring subjects (that’s you, humans!). Currently, he’s not adoptable because, let’s be honest, who would dare take the throne away from him?

E-Bay
E-bay is a 25-year-old Mustang with a personality as spicy as a jalapeño! He’s been part of our crew for 5 fabulous years, once living the high life as a barrel racing superstar. This guy adores treats, lounging in the fields, and gossiping with the mares—who wouldn’t want to be the center of attention? But don’t let that adorable mug fool you; he’s got a stubborn streak that rivals a toddler who’s just been told ‘no’—and trust me, that’s a frequent occurrence (LOL!) Just remember, folks, he’s off the market for adoption—sorry, no Mustang dating for you!

Sweet Billy Bob
Sweet Billy-Bob is a retired 17.5 HH gelding, the standardbred with the standard attitude! He’s living the dream at the sanctuary, where the hay is always fresh and the carrots are endless. Who knew retirement could be this fabulous? Just another day of munching, lounging, and perfecting his horsey puns!

Cat (Ima Cat’s Meow)
Cat is a 26-year-old standardbred who’s more interested in napping than racing these days. She needs an experienced rider to keep her from falling asleep mid-gallop! Mostly retired, she’s looking for a new home, ideally one that has a comfy sofa and maybe a cookie or two. So if you’ve got soft landing plans, this sassy senior is ready for some leisurely adventures (and snacks)!

Hana (Hana Bluechip)
Hannah is a sprightly 22-year-old standardbred who thinks she’s still in her prime! She walks, trots, and canters like a pro, but don’t let her age fool you—she’s looking for a rider with a bit more experience than your average Sunday stroller. She’s ready for adoption, so if you think you can keep up with her shenanigans, come on down and give this gal a whirl!

Tuff
Tuff is a 16-year-old paint who thinks he’s a celebrity! This stallion will soon have his “man card” revoked with a little snip-snip—it’s a tough world out there! He has a personality bigger than his mane and a penchant for Cheerios that would make any breakfast enthusiast envious. Just imagine a horse munching on cereal—who needs carrots when you’ve got the breakfast of champions? Not adoptable.

Bing (Cha-Ching Bada Bing)
Bing is a 25-year-old standardbred horse who’s basically the zen master of the barn. With a personality so laid-back, you’d think he’s just one carrot away from starting a meditation class for kids. When he first trotted into our lives, he looked like he’d just come off a rough night out, weighing a mere 800 lbs—definitely not what you’d call a heavyweight champ! But don’t worry, he’s now living his best life. While his adoption days are over (sorry, folks!), this retired superstar is settling into his luxurious sanctuary life, where he plans to perfect his napping skills for the rest of his days.

Robin Hood (AKA: Hoodie)

Sherwood
Sherwood is a 17-year-old Shetland Pony who might be pint-sized, but don’t be fooled—his willpower is stronger than the coffee my grandma makes on Monday mornings!

Shasta
Shasta has transitioned prematurely across the rainbow bridge. She was an intelligent and affectionate horse, known for her exceptional demeanor with children. RIP, beautiful girl.

Big Z Legend
Big Z Legend is a 20-year-old (5/7/2005-5/22/2025)standardbred horse. He was saved from the slaughter pipeline. He stands 17 hands high. He was a quiet and gentle boy who needed some reassurance. His mom was the Goddess of Wisdom, and his dad was Giant Hit. RIP, Big Z. You will be missed.

Prince Charming
Prince is a 17-year-old Percheron horse, and let’s just say he’s the heavyweight champion of the sanctuary! Before his entrance to the auction house, he was working hard as a labor horse on an Amish farm. He arrived from the auction house looking like he could use a buffet, but don’t worry, he’s been hitting the hay (and the oats) hard and is now on a steady weight-gaining mission. Truly a gentle giant—if only he could figure out that his new fans aren’t just there for the selfies. Available for adoption, and trust me, he’s looking for a soft landing (preferably with snacks)!
